Troup County emergency personnel are assessing injure and providing supplies for people who are dealing with property-owning damage from devastating storms in Georgia.

The National Weather Service says surveyors counterfeit damage resulting from an EF-2 tornado just southeast of LaGrange in the Lexington Park public. One was southeast of LaGrange and caused"major structural damage" and spread debris that clogged parts of Interstate 85. NWS said another tornado was reported near Upper Springs and Davis Roads in Troup County. 

The NWS meteorologists in Atlanta are operational with their counterparts out to the Birmingham office to settle the full path of destruction the tornado. Officials say the tornado felt down in Chambers County, Alabama and then crossed into Georgia.

Meriwether and Pike counties also received injure from at least one EF-2 tornado, surveyors found, but the full details of just how many tornadoes felt down, where, how long, and their intensity, is mild under investigation.

One was southeast of LaGrange and caused"major structural damage" and spread debris that clogged parts of Interstate 85. NWS said another tornado was reported near Upper Springs and Davis Roads in Troup County. 

Zac Steele, Troup County EMA Director, said four people were treated for non-life-threatening compensations. Residents can pick up supplies on Friday afternoon from the Troup County Jail Annex.

LaGrange mayor pro tempore Mark Mitchell said about 106 homes in the city reported some type of injure as a result of the storm. 

The LaGrange Police Department public a map of roads where traffic is affected by linemen who are operational to repair damage from Thursday's storms.

Police said the roads are north of West Point Lake and South of Downtown LaGrange, extending east. 

The Georgia Red Cross has opened shelters to help those impacted by the widespread distinguished outages and damaged homes. If you require emergency assistance you are invited to call the Georgia Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767. Police said Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange is getting as a Red Cross shelter. 

A prayer service is populate held on the LaGrange Square at noon on Saturday.
